Trouble Brewing

Anyone else see the problem with this advertisement in a brewery window that we saw in Halifax? I hope the "students" that are the target market here are at least college students. I know Haligonians (On this trip I learned that is what people from Halifax are called) and in general all Canadiens take their beer very seriously...but geesh.

Maybe too many 2 li growlers consumed by "students" resulted in this? Looks like fun was had, though.

And after a party keg or 2 and a brewery tour are these laughing with you or at you?

It is....Good to be Home

Canada was terrific and I have lots of blog stories to share. Right after I unpack and launder and sort and put things back in order. First thing unpacked last night was this little guy for Wudgie. She loves her "moosh".

Lunching with Libras

Today was a special lunch at my house for several friends that have October birthdays. Instead of cards with their presents I knit each a little pear from wonderful hand-spun hand-dyed yarn from Carrie at Hand Me Downs. I have been a fan of her blog for some time. The table looked very festive with antipasto and presents!

On the menu was Martha's fabulous macaroni and cheese. For dessert these sinful chocolate chip cookies from the New York Times recipe.

The secret to the recipe is a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking. The balance of savory from the salt and sweet from the chocolate is perfect.

Those Libras.....all about the balance.
